TheDogGhin

Steve Milhoan ("Developer", "we", "us") built the TheDogGhin app and web application as a tool for St. Bernard's Golf Club members to manage golf handicaps and tournament participation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

When a club administrator creates your account or when you use the app, the following information may be stored:

• Name (first and last name)
• Gender (used to determine default tee selection)
• Dog Tag (4-digit club member ID, used for login)
• Handicap Index (calculated from your posted scores)
• Golf Scores (date played, tee color, holes played, score, and calculated differential)
• Tournament Signups (which tournaments you register for and your tee selection)
• Optional PIN (if you choose to set one, it is stored as a one-way SHA-256 hash and cannot be read by anyone)

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Calculate and display your USGA handicap index
• Track your golf scores and history
• Manage tournament signups and generate signup sheets
• Display leaderboards and member directories for the club

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in a cloud database hosted by Supabase (PostgreSQL). The database is protected by Row Level Security policies. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not:

• Sell your personal information to anyone
• Share your data with third-party advertisers
• Use analytics or tracking tools
• Display advertisements in the app

Your data is only visible to other St. Bernard's Golf Club members through the app's member directory and leaderboard features.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your club membership is active. If you would like your data deleted, contact the developer at the email address below. We will remove your account and all associated scores and signups.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
